Description

Adrenaline Thoroughbreds offer an opportunity to buy into a well put together daughter of the Australian champion 2yo colt of 2012/13 Sidestep. This is a balanced and correct filly who moves along nicely, she’s going to develop into a quality 3yo type. We think she’ll fit in nicely to Paul Jenkins' New Zealand system of training stayers, as she has both Arc de Triomphe and VRC Oaks winners coming from both the male and female side of her pedigree.

Sidestep was crowned Australia’s Champion first season sire in 2018/19, beating the likes of Better than Ready and Deep Field through the exploits of his Golden Slipper winner Kiamichi. In his short career at stud, Sidestep has already produced 5 Stakes winners, with 53% winners to runners earning over $14million and producing two Gr.1 winners and two Gr.2 winners including this seasons surprise sensation, Party for Two, who was second in the Gr.2 Blue Diamond Prelude.

Exceed And Excel’s son, Outstrip, sired last year's Melbourne Cup hero Gold Trip, and we think that the mix of speed and stamina that is provided through this filly's sire, Sidestep, could be a suitable pairing for the quality middle distance and staying lines offered by her dam.

Jouer le Jeu is a daughter of the six times Gr.1 winning Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Montjeu - a high class sire of 127 stakes winners including 31 Gr.1 winners including southern hemisphere stars Tavistock, Green Moon, Wall Street, Nom Du Jeu and Roman Emperor.

She’s one of the nine winners for the high class New Zealand filly of the year Olga's Pal, a six times winner who tasted success at the elite level, taking out the Gr.1  New Zealand 1000 Guineas as well as the Gr.2 Desert Gold Stakes.

Olga's Pal’s daughters and granddaughters are also faring well at stud. Freyja, the half-sister to Jouer Le Jeu has already produced the Gr.1 VRC Oaks winner Kirramosa. Other descendants include the the WA Guineas winner Cape North and the New Zealand Gr.3 winner Belclare.
